As seen on BBC Dragons’ Den in 2024, Rich Baxter brings his unique invention
‘Stomp It’ to his energetic live shows
Stomp It is a 5 piece drum kit played with your feet whilst Rich stands up and performs other instruments such as acoustic guitar, mandolin and harmonica and singing. A true 21st century one man band!
Rich has been gigging since age 14 playing drums but switched to guitar in 2014 after a bout of cancer and following his dreams of performing music full time. In the last 10 years, Rich has made a name for himself on the Dorset scene where he lived during that time and now lives in Milton Keynes. He has released two albums ‘Land of the Living’ in 2016 and ‘Bru2al’ in 2020 during the lockdowns, both available on all major online platforms.
During the last 10 years of performing solo and duo gigs on the south coast, Rich felt his shows needed more rhythm. Naturally being a former drummer, he designed and created ‘Stomp It’ giving him a very unique stage presence and sound. Watching Rich perform is just as entertaining as listening to him which comes across during his time on BBC Dragons’ Den which he feels blessed to have been featured on. Peter Jones described Rich as ‘Genius’.
Rich has also recorded with Kurt Custer (drumming fame with Lynyrd Skynyrd and Steve Earle) in Nashville and appeared on several radio shows and TV.
Performing his unique twist on Americana, Rock, Country, Blues and Irish, one thing you are always guaranteed with Rich is a foot stomping, upbeat and energetic show!
