We all love watching sports on TV, at the pub or better still at the stadium. There’s nothing quite like the excitement and adrenaline when your favourite sports team score, or win; the anger and emotion when a decision goes against you, and that collective feeling of support for a shared purpose. Even writing this is giving us the goosebumps for when we’re watching our favourite football teams (it’s a massive topic of debate in the office every Monday morning – our VZ supply very quickly gets depleted).
The same can be said about a night out, or going to watch a concert; in essence any social or entertainment activity. Sometimes there may be alcohol, other times there’s live music, or you’re outdoors… it’s a great way to let off some steam, and just have a good time!
The reality of it all…
The reality is that the irritation and discomfort that results from vocal strain can happen to anyone. In fact, you’re potentially more prone to sore throats from voice discomfort if you don’t intensively use your voice, simply because you haven’t built up the strength in your throat to handle the excessive use. It’s a similar idea to having someone who hasn’t exercised in years attempting a marathon, the likelihood of straining their body is much greater.
And let’s be honest, when’s the last time you were off on a night out, or off to watch the sports and set aside some time to do your vocal warm up? Or when you were out and your favourite song comes on, and you think twice about singing along because of the risk of straining your voice.
It just doesn’t happen.
You’re in the heat of the moment and go for it. It’s fair to say most of us do it… you’ve probably felt it in your throat the following day and know all too well where that sore throat came from. But in the grand scheme of things, you probably feel it was worth it, albeit you could certainly do without the irritation the following day.
The irritation can be attributed to a number of factors, to name a few:
- Intensive use of your voice
- Cold weather, reconditioned air
- Smoking & drinking
- Where you are and what you’re doing
How Vocalzone can help
That’s where Vocalzone comes in. Vocalzone is no miracle worker, it’s not going to heal that hoarse throat, but it will soothe and relieve the discomfort that comes from it. Keep a pack in your pocket to get instant relief when your voice is feeling strained, without masking any damage to which you really should go and get medical advice – you don’t want your voice out of action for too long; trust us, it’s a right pain! Vocalzone works in three simple steps:
Clear the airways
Your voice is powered by your lungs, and amplified by your nose, mouth and throat. Keeping these passages clear allows you to work your voice more efficiently.
Target the irritation
The unique formulation of Vocalzone will target irritation, without numbing the throat. Numbing the discomfort may sound like a good idea to rid the pain, but the chances are you’ll do even more damage which can cause serious long term repercussions.
Relieve the discomfort
The combination of the active ingredients will then cool and soothe the discomfort and help reduce the inflammation. It will also help to regulate your mucus to counter the dry throat you’re possibly experiencing.
